Questions and answers

Before you order

How much does a commissioned painting cost?

The price depends on the format, technique and subject, so I quote every commission individually - no strings attached, usually within 24-48 hours of your enquiry. I keep prices fair; once you accept the quote we agree a deposit and a delivery date.

How do I order a portrait from a photo?

Send the photo through the form and write a few words about who or what it shows and the mood you want. I reply with a quote; after you accept, I paint and share progress, then pack the finished painting safely and ship it.

Which photo works best?

Sharp, in good natural light, with the face or muzzle clearly visible. If you have several shots, attach them - we will pick the best one together or combine details from a few.

How long does it take?

It depends on the format and technique: oil needs more drying time than acrylic. If the painting is a gift for a specific date, put it in the form - I will tell you right away whether the date is realistic.

Oil or acrylic?

Oil gives depth of colour and soft transitions but dries for weeks. Acrylic dries fast and has vivid, clean colours. If you are unsure, I will suggest the technique for the subject and the deadline.

Can the painting be shipped?

Yes. I pack paintings safely and ship by courier across Poland and abroad. The shipping cost is included in the quote.

Can I order a painting as a gift?

Yes, portraits and landscapes are often made for weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. Mark the occasion and the date in the form; if needed I ship discreetly, straight to the recipient.
