“Identity I” is the first painting in the series and the one closest to my heart. It tells the story of a shadow captured in a single moment, as if time had briefly stood still. This shadow is an echo of my childhood, of carefree days and a world where everything was new, simple, and full of wonder. As children, we discover the world slowly, step by step. We fall, get back up, and continue exploring with the same joy, finding excitement in things that seem so ordinary to us today. Through this painting, I return to that feeling, to the pure, effortless happiness found in the smallest moments. This is my trace on the canvas: who I once was, who I am now, and who I am still becoming. It is a story about how we change as people, while the shadow, the memory of that childhood curiosity, remains with me all along.
