“Identity III” is the third painting in the series and represents an attempt to capture the moment when the boundary between the human figure and the surrounding landscape begins to dissolve. The body is not depicted directly. Instead, it appears as a shadow, a trace of presence, an echo of form merging with the surrounding space. The landscape is no longer merely a background, and the body no longer exists as a separate entity. Both elements begin to overlap and lose their original meanings. The cool, muted colour palette creates an atmosphere of stillness and introspection. The layered texture and delicate, almost disappearing lines suggest a process of breaking down and reconstructing identity, both physical and psychological. The shadow becomes a metaphor for memory, experience, and emotions that are not always fully conscious, yet continuously shape the way we perceive ourselves. The landscape is not a specific place, but rather an inner state. It becomes a space in which the body loses its physical clarity and begins to function as part of something larger. The painting speaks about identity as something fluid, blurred, and constantly changing under the influence of time, surroundings, and personal experience. “Identity III” is a record of searching. An attempt to find oneself somewhere between the internal and the external, between presence and disappearance.
